TL;DR: Cheap, fast, friendly and delicious.
Came to Oxford on a day trip, and with 20 minutes before the bus left, my friend and I decided to grab a quick bite. We happened to be around the Gloucester Green square and the row of stalls on the opposite side caught my eye. The Falafel House was the one on the very end, and as soon as I heard other customers ordering in a foreign language, I knew it would be good.
Paid £3.50 for falafel and baba ganoush, which seems like a steal after being in London for a few weeks. The falafel was hot out of the fryer (unlike another reviewer, mine weren't greasy at all!), veggies were fresh and crisp, all in a chewy thin wrap. I also got hot sauce, which, combined with the onion, made for a spicy kick.
I had to take a picture before I left, and the guy behind the counter even posed! I'm in love. I would come back to Oxford just for this adorable place. -

Cheap and cheerful is the name of the game here. The food is typical takeaway fare, being quite greasy, though it's a welcome change from burgers and chips! Make sure you try the baklawa, though watch out for the peanuts if you're allergic!
The meat here is Halal. -

Whether you're financially skint or dripping quid, you're sure to falafel here is sure to earn the praise of your palate. For between 2 and 2.5 pounds you can choose from a variety of falafel to go, rolled in an authentic large thin flat pitabread.
The guys behind the counter here are friendly, quick and cheerful. The selection of salad toppings is fresh and alluring. The falafel is made while you wait and comes to you straight out of the cooker. You can take it with you wrapped closed, or they'll hand it to you in a napkin and open but tight paper wrap convenient for eating while you walk. I go for the addition of potatoes which fills you up as much as a whole meal. The tehini sauce is fantastic. Like with all such snack bars I take softdrink can or bottled water with me, or buy one in a nearby supermarket, to from paying the makup in price. If you happen to have any spare change or room in your stomach for an extra special treat try the baklawa (if you're not allergic to nuts) it's yummy, but entails a huge calorie intake!
